Roulette

History

Roulette means 'small wheel' in French, which is pretty easy to understand when you look at the game. Created in France in the 18^th century, Roulette is believed to be a combination of Italian board games and English wheel games.

The Rules

Players can bet on:

• A specific number
• A specific colour
• A range of numbers (odd or even)

Game-play

Roulette is played as follows:

1. Players bet on what the outcome will be
2. Then the croupier spins the big wheel and at the same time spins a small metal ball in the other direction
3. The metal ball slows and falls into one of the 38 different slots, from which the result of the number, color or range of numbers can be determined

Strategies

One of our greatest geniuses, Albert Einstein, once stated, "‘You can't beat a Roulette table unless you steal from it'. Even so, many eager gamblers have tried to prove old Berty wrong, coming up with strategies aimed at maximising the player's odds. Some of these are:
